• Wrote a mix
of hard news, trend features and enterprise packages that frequently went to 1A or the centerpiece of the Sunday business
section. Covered technology, consumer trends, the economy, small business, corporate strategy, the workplace and the housing
market.

Covered IBM Corp. with breaking news and in-depth features, including reports on outsourcing to India, executive strategy,
annual meetings, pensions and scientific breakthroughs.
• Proposed Parents' Place blog (http://parentsplace.lohudblogs.com/) and contributed
more than 600 posts since it was created in July 2006.
• Developed parenting as adjunct beat, writing news stories about such topics as software
for babies, tech toys, parents in the workplace, “mompreneurs” and an award-winning report on protecting kids
from online porn.

Used Web social networking tools, including Twitter, to source stories and engage the community in discussions.
• Took lead role in
yearly business special section, developing the theme, generating budget lines, coaching reporters and writing the lead story.
Topics included business of health care, diversity and the local work force.
• Took photos for the newspaper and blog. Arranged photo and video
shoots. Produced video segments, recorded voice-overs and appeared as an on-camera reporter during partnership with WRNN.
